Certified "High Environmental Value" (H.E.V.) Estate

Château Brande-Bergère is certified as a "High Environmental Value" (HVE) estate.

The "High Environmental Value" certification is awarded by the certification body designated by the Ministry of Agriculture. It corresponds to the highest level of environmental certification for farms. It guarantees that the practices used throughout the farm preserve the natural ecosystem and minimize pressure on the environment (soil, water, biodiversity, etc.).

This certification is based on 4 themes:

  • Biodiversity preservation (insects, trees, hedges, grass strips, flowers, etc.)
  • Phytosanitary strategy
  • Fertilization management
  • Irrigation management

Agricultural practice is based on agroecological principles. This involves promoting natural resources and mechanisms: farm autonomy, improved added value of products, reduced energy consumption, reduced use of plant protection products, etc.
