Château Brande-Bergère is a "High Environmental Value" (H.E.V.) estate
The "High Environmental Value" label is awarded by the certification body designated by the Ministry of Agriculture. It corresponds to the highest level of the environmental certification system for farms. It guarantees that the practices used on the entire farm preserve the natural ecosystem and reduce to a minimum the pressure on the environment (soil, water, biodiversity, etc.).
This mention is based on 4 themes:
- Preservation of biodiversity (insects, trees, hedges, grassy strips, flowers, etc.)
- The phytosanitary strategy
- Fertilisation management
- Irrigation management
Agricultural practice is based on the principles of agro-ecology. It is a question of favouring the resources and mechanisms of nature: autonomy of the farm, improvement of the added value of the products, reduction of energy consumption, reduction of phytopharmaceutical products...
