Designated "Outsider" by Jean-Marc Quarin

CHÂTEAU BRANDE BERGÈRE - CUVÉE O'BYRNE

"This is an Outsider that tastes better than the label suggests. It is vinified under the same consultant as Canon. Its high proportion of Cabernet Franc sets it apart in ageing, while the Merlot gives it the expected volume on the palate."

Jean-Marc Quarin

WHAT IS AN OUTSIDER ACCORDING TO JEAN-MARC QUARIN?

A graduate taster from the Bordeaux Institute of Oenology and an independent wine critic, Jean-Marc Quarin has acquired a unique knowledge of the Bordeaux vineyards, with the ability to spot the best successes and the future great wines. Recognised by the international press for the relevance of his judgements, he also cultivates the art of helping people discover, love and understand wine like no other. In September 2011, Solar published its Bordeaux wine guide. It won the Nadine de Rothschild prize. A commendation accompanied by this comment: "On behalf of the jury, I would like to point out the extreme intelligence of the introduction, fifty pages that will remain in the history of knowledge of Bordeaux". In his guide, he creates the concept of "Outsider": " an Outsider is a wine that tastes better than the label suggests ". This rare label distinguishes the wines that stand out in its tastings, which have been monitored and repeated for more than twenty years: 5,500 wines noted and commented on in its Guide, 45,000 on its website: www.quarin.com .
